One of these consists of taking part in gossip conversations and making snide comments about others who are not around. This is a habit that a lot of people have, whether it is work related, with friends or on the phone. Those who stir up gossip and make judgmental comments are generally very popular just because they can entertain other people with their gossiping. But, they are not known for being trustworthy. This is because people know that this type of person will talk about anybody for any reason. So don’t give in to the temptation of engaging in such behavior. You should also keep in mind that everyone feels anxiety and uncertainty at times, but if you push beyond these feelings and don’t let them stop you, you’ll find that your confidence naturally increases. To cut a long story short, if you are able to see the desirable qualities and talents you have, as well as those in others, you will be able to find your very own inner beauty. Another thing, though, is that as you probably know very well; you can locate excellent related content that will be helpful. Try to avoid getting to scattered with what you choose to do based on this information, and it is always a good idea to limit your activities to something that you favor for whatever reason.

Real-World Plans Of Internet Marketing Squidoo Techniques | Coin …

May 16th, 2012

There’s a lot that goes into making a Squidoo lens successful, but the most important part happens to be the search engine traffic that you get to it. The following article explains a few useful points when it comes to getting your Squidoo lens ranked in the search engines.

This happens to be the most obvious thing, but it’s surprising that many people don’t focus on it. We know that you will not always be able to use your exact keyword phrase if somebody else has claimed it, for the Squidoo URL, so in that case try to work around it and get your phrase in it. Remember that it is best to put any extra little letters or numbers at the end of the phrase if you need to do that. All we can really suggest is to check and most likely you will need to use some creativity which is acceptable. You may already know how annoying it can be to find a good regular dot com domain name; well, same thing at Squidoo.

Optimizing your lens is not an onetime thing, but rather something that’s continuous. When you’re working on improving the ranking of your Squidoo lens, you’ll see that it’s a lot easier to do it when compared to a typical web page. Of course there are some tracking applications in place courtesy of Squidoo, and you need to be mindful of them. Just like your server raw stats log, your lens log will provide a nice list of the different search phrases people used.

All right, after that is done what do you do with that? Writing new lens content is a great idea as well as is building a lens off those keywords. Nip over to www.acesluxurymanagement.co.uk for the best facts.

Of course synonyms have become increasingly more important with search engines as they try to determine what content is about. Many years ago people used to stuff their sites with keywords in white font and reach a high ranking pretty easily. But do not let that bother you because you can still learn how to get results with SEO. Google using technology they both create and buy to get all of this done. The best advice is to write for the reader and just produce a good piece of content. Just write for your audience and that will serve you well.

If you want to see your Squidoo lens achieve a high first page position, then just do what needs to be done and keep up the effort.

Nip over to our website for clear recommendations: goodyear tire stores or δονητές simplified.

TOM GETS REAL

May 16th, 2012

Tom Cruise opens up to playboy magazine about his career, love life and Scientology

Tom-Cruise

Tom Cruise knows people talk about him, for better or worse. But he’s also acutely aware that people listen to him, especially when official candid conversations have been rather rare. “When I’m promoting a film, I’m not going to get caught up in anything else, and that includes all my personal things,” he says.

On the perception that he’s extremely competitive:

“Here’s the thing about competition: I don’t think that wanting to do my best qualifies as that. Whether it’s making a film or raising my children, personally I’m striving to do the right things and to learn. I’m an all-or-nothing kind of person, and when I become interested in something, I give it my all. But when it comes to working with other actors or releasing movies, I don’t feel competitive. It’s a group effort.”

On the desire to see his films do well:

“I really came up with promoting films around the world, and studios fought me, but I mainly did it because I wanted myself and my kids to see the world. But here’s the game I’m playing: I want to make great films that entertain an audience and hold up. I can control only the effort I put into it and the experience we all have making it. After that, it is what it is.”

On attributing his success to Scientology:

“I have respect for what other people believe. What I believe in my own life is that it’s a search for how I can do things better, whether it’s being a better man or a better father or finding ways for myself to improve. Individuals have to decide what is true and real for them. I’m fortunate in the life I have.”

On whether he’s had cosmetic surgery:

“I haven’t, and I never would.”

Tom-Cruise-Katie-Holmes

On how he feels about Katie Holmes:

“She is an extraordinary person, and if you spent five minutes with her, you’d see it. Everything she does, she does with this beautiful creativity. She’s funny and charming, and when she walks into the room, I just feel better. I’m a romantic. I like doing things like creating romantic dinners, and she enjoys that. I don’t know what to say — I’m just happy, and I have been since the moment I met her. What we have is very special.”

On when the rumors cross the line:

“If I have to, I will sue. You start with a letter saying, ‘OK, you know it’s not true. Apologize.’ But with certain ones you have to go, ‘OK, you crossed a line, and now you have the attention of my lawyers.’ [Laughs] When it involves your kids, you have to go, ‘Here’s the line, and anytime you cross it…”

On ignoring misconceptions and rumors about him:

“Does refuting things help? Not really. There comes a point when you just have to go, ‘You know what? Here’s how I’ve lived my life: I’ve never been late to a set. I make films I believe in. I feel privileged to be able to do what I love.’ You just have to keep going and remember that. The other stuff? I hear it, I read it, I get it. But life is not a matter of trying to prove anything to anybody.”

On moving around a lot as a kid:

“I found it adventurous. Did it bring challenges? Yeah. You’re always the new kid, with the wrong accent, the wrong shoes. You learn about people and yourself and how to deal with what was not always a safe environment. You had to figure it out. That is what life’s about, change and solving problems and living it.”

On his comments about Brooke Shields, and the subsequent testy interview with Matt Lauer:

“I never meant it that way. When I go back and look at it, I find myself thinking, ‘I don’t feel that way. I get how it came across, but I don’t feel that way, and I never have.’ Telling people how to live their lives? I saw how that came across and how pieces were edited.”

On whether or not he’s changed over the course of his career:

“I’ve always had the same values. Family for me has always been important. When I shoot, everybody comes. When Kate’s shooting, I’m there with her and the kids. We’re always together. I’m always around my mother and sisters. I always wanted to be a father, a husband. And I’ve always had a work ethic.”

On singing “Pour Some Sugar on Me” in front of Def Leppard while filming “Rock of Ages”:

“Well, the lead singer, Joe Elliott, points at me and goes, ‘F— you! F— you!’ Then I saw big smiles on their faces, and I realized I’d gotten their stamp. It was a very cool moment. It was important they knew I was honoring their music and not making fun of them.”

Permanent Muscle – Build Real Muscle, On Real People Real Fast …

May 13th, 2012

Permanent Muscle - Build Real Muscle, On Real People Real FastBeing a Professional Baseball Player with the Boston Redsox is a very physically and mentally demanding job.

I started Reuben’s program with a wide variety of questions on how working out and building/maintaining muscle would help me elevate my game, and it more than handled every one of them.

Reuben’s program not only helped keep me strong but also worked on another big area of concern I had which was flexibility.

Combining that in with the intense yet structured and focused workouts really helped me not only to maintain (which is difficult enough over a major league season) but make gains in certain areas as well, which was a very pleasant and welcome surprise. This program has really opened my eyes in terms of what the human body is capable of without the aid of any type of illegal supplementation. I would recommended or endorse anything that has his name attached to it because after he works with you, just like me, you’ll be set on a path you never thought you could travel!

Hi, my name’s Karl and I never had an impressive physique, nor did I have adequate strength and stamina. I was fairly tall at 6″2 and a half and used to be very skinny. After many attempts of trying to stick to a proper training routine, I started training properly under Reuben and a local trainer in my area.

Reuben’s program was most helpful and very easy to understand with effective advice from anything from diet/supplement tips, proper exercise and training routines, and even the science behind how the human body can grow and develop. With proper procedures designed for my body only, Reuben’s program has totally changed the way I look and given me a nice physique and unbelievable strength gains! Without Reuben’s guidance… Read more…

How Real People Will Use Windows 8 | Earn From PTC

May 13th, 2012

  1. seriously has windows even done any UI/UX testing with people outside of their dev team?!

  2. “Are they trying to drive me to a mac?” BRILLIANT! That old man is full of win!

  3. WHY???!!! If I want a mac I’ll buy a mac.

  4. It’s meant for the new generation not the dinosaurs!

  5. I think windows 8 will be a bigger flop than vista.
    And I was so hopeful.

  6. Your poor Pop! The designers of this monstrosity should be flogged until the product improves. If this is what Microsoft is moving to, I may have to make the jump to Mac.

  7. Though I agree that getting rid of the start button might not have been the smartest choice…Once they teach you how to get the start button from the right side of the screen (or better once they teach you to use the FREAKIN start button) – Windows 8 is quite intuitive.
You may argue that the Metro interface is useless. Well, not quite. Some of the apps from metro may come in handy (such as the people’s app), the search feature is excelent, and last having an unified store for apps is priceles

  8. Both Mac-OS and Linux are easier to use. There aren’t nearly as many games for them as for Windows but there also are practically zero viruses for them too. If all you really want to do is browse the web, do a spread sheet, and compose a document, a linux distro is a far better option than Windows. You can configure it to give you those three operations as icons and have a box that is extremely easy to use.

Linux is far safer for online banking etc.

  9. Nice ending comment

  10. it’s official. mircrosoft hates old people.

  11. Lol great video

  12. “They trying to drive me to Mac?”
Wonderful way to end the video.

  13. i love the os … from the time i downloaded it i was able to use it without a tutorial or anything… im currently using dual monitors and everything .. bottom line i love it!!!!

  14. i love the os … from the time i downloaded it i was able to use it without a tutorial or anything… im currently using dual monitors and everything .. bottom line i love it!!!!!

  15. Windows 8 has many nice features. But YES, it needs lots of improvement, especially in the user interface. So if at least they listened. But this is my biggest reproach to them: WHY ISN’T THERE A WAY TO GIVE THEM USER FEEDBACK???? WHY DON’T THEY WANT TO LISTEN TO US??

  16. Answering the question directly: They won’t.

  17. this guy FTW!

  18. my mother could never use windows 8…she will struggle with it.

  19. Click on the fish – Love It !!!
    SuperDad

  20. LOL linux fans have been saying that since XP days. Guess what, it still won’t happen.

  21. But I disagree on two points,
First of all I doubt the developers of KDE, GNOME et al wouldn’t be crazy(or stupid) enough to adopt the Metro interface of Windows 8, Metro violates many basic usability principles (only on the desktop). Another point is that I don’t think that Linux stole from Windows or the other way around, too much legal trouble.

  22. I somewhat, but not totally agree about your views on linux
First of all, Linux is very close to becoming the next computing revolution after the internet, but all it needs are more users(much more) to be convinced that Linux is the future and that is the challange. After this very difficult challange a quick process will unfold: users -> more features in linux -> users. So I also love Linux.

  23. The only thing going on inside Joes mind is: Okay, what the fuck? Where is the start menu? It’s not there. But it has to! I’m not going crazy! WHERE IS THE GOD DAMN MENU! CHRIS HELP ME OUT HERE! MICROSOFT IS MAKIN ME LOOK LIKE A FOOL!

  24. It wouldn’t be thy bad if it had a start button

Love makes Real, Velve-teen Rabbits – Montevidayo

May 7th, 2012

Hi everyone, I haven’t posted in a long while because I have been feeling dead inside, but the conversation about Skin Horse and the Velveteen Rabbit, which I just read for the first time today, has made something come alive in me… or I should say, is helping me become Real.

This is more about the Velveteen Rabbit’s Skin Horse because my Skin Horse is still in the mail, on its way to me.

I’ve got a very soft spot for robots and puppets and all manner of the uncanny, almost-human, probably because I personally feel only almost-human most of the time, in terms of “legitimacy” or whatever it is that makes people inflated and not deflated. On the other hand, the monstrous and the rejected, while not quite human, are just as often, if not simultaneously, too human. They feel too much pain. Not enough thickness to the skin.

Re-quoting the Velveteen Rabbit from the comments:

“What is REAL?” asked the Rabbit one day, when they were lying side by side near the nursery fender, before Nana came to tidy the room. “Does it mean having things that buzz inside you and a stick-out handle?”

“Real isn’t how you are made,” said the Skin Horse. “It’s a thing that happens to you. When a child loves you for a long, long time, not just to play with, but REALLY loves you, then you become Real.”

“Does it hurt?” asked the Rabbit.

“Sometimes,” said the Skin Horse, for he was always truthful. “When you are Real you don’t mind being hurt.”

“Does it happen all at once, like being wound up,” he asked, “or bit by bit?”

“It doesn’t happen all at once,” said the Skin Horse. “You become. It takes a long time. That’s why it doesn’t happen often to people who break easily, or have sharp edges, or who have to be carefully kept. Generally, by the time you are Real, most of your hair has been loved off, and your eyes drop out and you get loose in the joints and very shabby. But these things don’t matter at all, because once you are Real you can’t be ugly, except to people who don’t understand.”

*

In order to be Real, one can’t be too fragile (break easily) or too offensive (sharp edges). Is the Young Girl a velveteen animal too fragile and offensive to be Real? I’m thinking about Kate Durbin’s performance as Girl, Kate Zambreno’s Green Girl, and the innumerable tumblr girls who bleed their wrists and glitter gifs.

The ever expanding period of pubescence (when will it end?) seems like a waiting-to-become… the offensive gaudiness of girl plus kitsch plus desire for love, “excessive beauty” that sheds, regenerates, and sheds is a continual skinning under the Gaze, some kind of Gaze which will not make her real, (because it is an objectifying or restrictive one), adult or patriarchal or tumblr-al, I don’t know.

http://lovemightbereal.tumblr.com/

daretofail-.tumblr.com

“love might be real”

When you are Real you don’t mind being hurt.

In Dogtooth, after an uncomfortable and disturbed coming of age, the prisoner knocks her teeth out when she discovers the possibility of the “real world” (hollywood film) through ironically artificial means…

I recently saw the movie Alps (amazing), by Yorgos Lanthamos, who made Dogtooth, also an amazing film (which Joyelle posted about here: http://www.montevidayo.com/?p=1328#more-1328)… Both movies follow characters who, in some way or another, are cut off from society and/or imprisoned by isolation. The main female character in both films, both played by Aggeliki Papoulia, remain nameless throughout, which reflects her lack of access to Real personhood.

I don’t want to spoil Alps, so I won’t say much. There is the literal performance of being the object of love, which makes me think of teenage girls. Echo the Skin Horse “love is something that happens to you,” “not how you are made”… it is the _fake_ love that helps Papoulia see a glimpse of the Real, leading to the skinning of her “fake” self and much violence. Real and fake slip into each other, she can no longer negotiate between them. Like the toys in the Velveteen Rabbit, Realness destroys her.
